The Freedom Kids Coordinator plays a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and spiritually formative environment for children and their families. This role supports the mission of Freedom City by facilitating intentional discipleship for kids 0 – 5th grade, coordinating volunteers, preparing curriculum, and ensuring smooth, consistent operations on Sundays and during kids’ events.

Hours & Schedule

- 15 hours per week
- Sundays required
- Flexible weekday scheduling
- Occasional additional hours for special events or seasonal ministries

Key Responsibilities

·       Volunteer Scheduling: Build, organize, and communicate weekly volunteer schedules for all kids ministry classrooms.
·       Curriculum Management: Prepare and distribute lesson materials using Freedom City’s chosen curriculum (Wonder Ink).
·       Supply Management: Order, organize, and restock classroom materials and supplies as needed.
·       Volunteer Training, Recruitment & Communication: Maintain clear communication with volunteers and provide training, encouragement,
and updates.
·       Safety Protocols: Ensure proper check-in/out procedures, background checks, and adherence to all child safety standards.
·       Set-Up and Tear-Down: Oversee weekly classroom preparation and teardown to create a clean and welcoming environment.
·       Event Coordination: Assist in planning and executing kids ministry events and seasonal activities.

·       A passion to serve kids and families.
·       Strong organizational and communication skills.
·       Ability to lead, encourage, and manage volunteers effectively.
·       Detail-oriented, reliable, and proactive.
